Dermatitis Perioral adalah suatu penyakit kulit yang ditandai oleh adanya beruntus-beruntus merah di sekitar mulut.
PENYEBAB
Penyebabnya tidak diketahui.
Dermatitis perioral terutama menyerang wanita yang berusia 20-60 tahun dan bisa muncul setelah pemakaian salep kortikosteroid di wajah untuk mengobati suatu penyakit.
GEJALA
Dermatitis perioral bisa sangat menyerupai jerawat atau rosasea.
Diantara batas bibir dengan ruam kulit biasanya dipisahkan oleh daerah kulit yang normal.
Bisa terasa sangat gatal dan bahkan sampai menyengat.
Di sekitar bibir tampak beruntus-beruntus kecil kemerahan. Kadang beruntus-beruntus tersebut membentuk plak (daerah kemerahan yang menonjol) atau bercak (daerah kemerahan yang mendatar).
DIAGNOSA
Diagnosis ditegakkan berdasarkan gejala dan hasil pemeriksaan fisik.
PENGOBATAN
Pengobatan yang terbaik adalah tetracyclin per-oral (melalui mulut).
Jika penyakitnya berat dan pemberian antibiotik tidak dapat memperbaiki ruam kulit, maka diberikan obat jerawat isotretinoin.
